Bethany Moss

Licensed Professional Counselor
Registered Play Therapist
EMDR Trained Therapist

Bethany considers it an honor to join clients in their healing journey. Making the decision to seek counseling can be difficult. Cultivating a safe, accepting, and authentic environment where clients are met where they are provides courage, value, and hope.

People can make positive and powerful changes in their life with the right support and process, and clients will be joined in that journey with patience and understanding.

Play Therapy is the unique and developmentally appropriate approach to working with children in their healing process. This specialization is used to work with young children through a variety of issues, such as trauma, grief, behavioral abnormalities, and anxiety.

As a Registered Play Therapist, Bethany has completed the additional training and requirements to provide these services to families. She also trains parents in Child-Parent-Relationship Therapy (CPRT) to reach counseling goals. CPRT invites parents into a deeper understanding and equips them to better engage children at home fostering healthy development outside of the counseling setting. Collaborating with parents and teachers in the therapeutic process ensures that the child receives consistent, and well-rounded care.

Bethany is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she has used with both children and adults, for a variety of counseling issues. This also includes academic and sports performance. The use of EMDR with children is a specific practice and she has completed additional training with some of the leading experts and pioneers in the field in order to be well-equipped and prepared to serve this population effectively. She works with pre-adolescents and adults with issues such as trauma, depression, and anxiety, utilizing both EMDR and talk therapy approaches. Bethany’s training has uniquely equipped her to serve clients of all ages and customize treatment as they developmentally grow and change.

Bethany lives in Dallas, TX. Outside of counseling, she enjoys writing, serving at church, spending quality time with friends and family, and traveling.
