The healing journey is a collaborative process between the client and the counselor. Jenna has a heart and passion for walking with people from a place of hurting to a place of healing.

It takes courage to seek help and invest in counseling. You will experience a safe space to engage the vulnerable and creative counseling process. Each client’s individuality, beliefs, and unique story will be respected and held sacred.

Jenna believes in a holistic approach when working with both individuals and couples. Building awareness and authenticity are key pieces to the healing, developing full personhood, and cultivating intimate relationships.

Being fully integrated as a person is imperative for healing and growth. Jenna works with both individuals and couples seeking to heal from a variety of issues.

You can expect to experience a relationship-informed approach to trauma therapy and a trauma-informed approach to couples and sex therapy, benefiting from a therapist with extensive experience in trauma healing. More, you will gain resources, tools, and expertise from a therapist with in-depth training in both relationship and sexual therapy. Each client will benefit from a customized process that meets the needs of each person and couple.

The Eye-Movement-Desensitization-and-Reprocessing (EMDR) approach has been found to be comprehensive, efficient, and effective in working with a variety issues and creative applications. EMDR is Jenna’s primary form of therapy when working with individuals, and when appropriate, with couples.

She is passionate about working from a team approach and has a network of multi-disciplinary professionals that she works with on a regular basis. Her counseling interests include sexual dysfunction, challenges with sexual pain and penetration, affair recovery, emotional regulation, boundaries, life transitions, healing from trauma and abuse, perfectionism, negative life or relationship patterns, and healing from negative life experiences.

Jenna is a Texas native. Her and her family live in the greater Dallas area. As lifelong learner and a passion for academics, she currently teaches part-time as an adjunct professor at Dallas Baptist University, serves as one of the Institute of Sexual Wholeness instructors, and is a PhD Candidate at Texas A&M University- Commerce. The accumulation of her professional and personal experience has led her to invest as co-owner of Aspen Haus. She has taken a variety of leadership experience in non-profit, academics, and counseling to serve the talented team at Aspen Haus with joy and honor.
